A traditional British coffee and snack establishment inside the Dorman Museum, Dressers Tea Room, Dorman Museum caters to all, including vegetarian and vegan options.

Leaning more toward a good coffee house with an array of tasty bites, including sandwiches, toasties, and cakes, Off the Ground is still well worth a visit.
4. Toby Carvery Marton
A traditional British pub grub environment and on a good budget (typically £6 – £12 range), the Toby Carvery Marton offers across the board a range of good, humble food for all tastes and at any time of the day too.

OK, so, maybe another pub with grub, but The Discovery offers a large selection of meals and snacks catering for all.

6. The Swatter’s Carr
The Swatter’s Carr has been a public house for more than a century and is recorded in the 1891 census as the Swatters Carr Hotel Public House. Today, it’s part of Weatherspoon and offers the usual pub culinary.
Take your pick from the various options on their menu, from a hearty breakfast and deli lunches to full on dinners – all topped off with traditional British Deserts.
7. The Cauldron
This is Welcome Middlesbrough’s first 100% Gluten Free Bistro. You will find a lot on offer at The Cauldron, with plenty of snacks, sandwiches, salads, and hot and cold dishes catering mainly for breakfast and brunch, all washed down with an array of coffee, teas, smoothies and their mighty milkshakes.

Located in TS9 (less than 9 miles from Middlesbrough Town centre), D. Petch Butchers is worth a mention as it’s a family-run business located on Great Ayton’s busy High Street and was voted independent butchers of the year 2019 at the North East Independent Retail Awards.

Located in the centre of Middlesbrough Town centre, O’Connells prides itself on serving quality bar meals, excellent beers and lagers.
